Hearst's International - Newspaper Ad

San Francisco Examiner - December 29, 1921
First thing about this ad that caught my eye, it was for a serialized novel being printed in a magazine. Second thing, a novel by H. G. Wells was also hyped. So I clipped it.

Although I did not recognize Robert W. Chambers as the author of The King in Yellow, my uncovering of that little factoid put this novel one my shopping wish list. The Wells novel turns out to be one of his more naturalistic, or grounded, affairs: The Secret Places of the Heart. Which appears to be his fictional exploration of his troubled marriage and infatuation with Margaret Sanger. Okay.
